Next Generation Funds in Andalusia

Following the deadline extension, the Andalusian Government’s EcoHousing Plan can now be applied for until December 26, 2024. These grants cover actions and renovations aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes and buildings.

Although it took some time, Andalusia has finally published the calls for applying to the Next Generation Housing Funds. The region offers several lines of subsidies, including Building rehabilitation, Energy efficiency improvements in homes, Grants for preparing an existing building report for rehabilitation, Subsidies for drafting rehabilitation project plans.

This post focuses on the subsidies directly affecting homes and buildings, where replacing old windows with high-performance ones can be one of the eligible actions, potentially recovering up to 52% of the investment.

Subsidies for Improving Energy Efficiency in Homes

The goal of these subsidies is to fund actions that enhance the energy efficiency of homes, whether single-family houses or apartments within multifamily buildings. Here’s what you need to know:

Eligible Applicants

Homeowners, usufructuaries, or tenants of homes, whether individuals or legal entities.

Requirements and Amounts

To qualify for these subsidies, you must achieve:

  • A 7% reduction in heating and cooling demand, or a 30% reduction in the non-renewable primary energy consumption indicator.
  • Thermal envelope modifications (e.g., replacing windows) that meet the Technical Building Code (CTE) standards.

     

    The subsidy covers 40% of the cost of the action, with a maximum of €3,000. Additionally, tax deductions can be applied to personal income tax (IRPF).

     

    Subsidies for Building Rehabilitation

     

    This program finances actions to improve energy efficiency in buildings and single-family homes, emphasizing those targeting the thermal envelope. Eligible Applicants

  • Owners or usufructuaries of single-family homes (isolated or row houses) or residential buildings.
  • Homeowners’ associations or groups of associations.

    To qualify, applicants must:

  • Reduce the non-renewable primary energy consumption indicator by 30%. iAdditionally, lower the annual global energy demand for heating and cooling by 25% (in climate zone C) or 35% (in climate zone D).

    Meeting these conditions entitles applicants to subsidies ranging from 40% to 80% of the total cost of the action. Additional tax deductions may also apply.

    Applications and Deadline (UPDATED)

    Applications for both subsidies can be submitted until December 26, 2024, following the success of previous calls. This deadline may be extended by the Andalusian Government. Applications must be submitted online via the Andalusian Government’s electronic platform, where you can also find the required documentation.
